Incentive Travel and MICE in Southeast Asia: A Planner's Guide by Country
October 14, 2026

Southeast Asia is one of the most flexible regions in the world for incentives and business events: world-class convention centres, resort islands, strong food cultures and short flights between countries. DMC Connect's in-house MICE team plans meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions and trade missions across our destinations, for MICE agencies, tour operators and corporate buyers.
What we deliver
- Meetings: from board-table sessions to plenaries, with venue sourcing through our local teams.
- Incentives: trips that combine culture, adventure and comfort, designed around the company's goals and values.
- Conventions and exhibitions: logistics, transfers and delegate programmes around the event.
- Trade missions: we have worked with trade mission organisations over many years and plan programmes and meetings around the mission's objectives.
Country by country
Thailand
Bangkok's Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) reopened after a major refurbishment with about triple its original capacity, and IMPACT at Muang Thong Thani is one of the region's largest venues. Beyond Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Koh Samui and Chiang Mai host incentive groups. The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) supports qualifying events. See our Thailand DMC page.
Indonesia
Bali remains one of the region's leading incentive destinations, with Ubud's culture and the resorts of the south coast. Jakarta has the large venues, including JIExpo, and the newer Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) near the airport. See Bali & Indonesia DMC.
Vietnam
Vietnam competes on value across hotels, venues and transport. Events are spreading from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang and Phu Quoc, and the new Long Thanh International Airport near Ho Chi Minh City will add capacity.
Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur is a strong conference city, and Malaysia is promoting secondary cities such as Penang and Kota Kinabalu. We contract locally through our Malaysian entity. See Malaysia DMC.
Singapore
Singapore is the region's established conference and "bleisure" hub, where delegates extend business trips for leisure. We hold a Singapore travel agent licence (TA03536).
For more on new venues, read our MICE in Asia guide.
