Escape the Canadian Winter: A Southeast Asia DMC for Canadian Tour Operators
October 14, 2026

DMC Connect is a Southeast Asia DMC for Canadian tour operators and travel agents. When your clients want to swap snow for sun, we are the destination management company that runs the programme on the ground in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia and China. We work only with the travel trade, and every request is answered with a tailored proposal within 24 hours.
Canada's winter is Southeast Asia's best season
The months Canadians most want to leave home line up with the driest months on the Southeast Asian mainland:
- December to February: generally dry and pleasant in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and southern Vietnam, with cooler mornings in northern Thailand, Laos and Hanoi.
- March break: still dry across Thailand, Cambodia and Laos, though March to May is the hottest period, so plan pool time and early starts for family and school groups.
- Spring and early summer: Bali, Java and Malaysia's east coast move into their drier months from around April.
Peak weeks around Christmas and New Year fill early in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Siem Reap and Luang Prabang. See our seasonality guide for the region month by month.
Programme ideas for Canadian clients
- Longer winter escapes: clients flying this far often stay for two weeks or more. Combine the Thailand Comprehensive Tour (8D/7N) with island time in Koh Samui or Krabi.
- Vietnam from north to south: the Vietnam Heritage Trail (8D/7N), from Hanoi and Ha Long Bay to Ho Chi Minh City.
- Temples and islands in Cambodia: Angkor Wonders & Koh Rong Paradise (9D/8N).
- A slower Laos: our 4-day Luang Prabang itinerary, or rail through Laos with our guide to Southeast Asia rail journeys.
- Two countries in one trip: Singapore & Malaysia Combined (6D/5N).
Groups and school trips
For March break and other school travel, our educational travel programmes include themed tours, experiential and service learning, fully qualified guides and rigorous health and safety audits. For corporate groups, see our incentive travel guide, and for repeat departures, how we run group series.
Language and documents
Tell us the language your clients need. Our published itineraries list the guiding language of each programme, and we confirm it in the proposal. If you sell in French in Quebec, say so in your brief and we will confirm what we can provide for that departure.
Across the time zones
Bangkok is 11 to 12 hours ahead of Toronto and Montreal, and 14 to 15 hours ahead of Vancouver, depending on daylight saving time. A request you send in the afternoon reaches our team at the start of the Bangkok day. More in our North America overview.
Who stands behind the trip
We are Bangkok-headquartered and licensed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT 14/04338), an ATTA member (5259), with registered entities in Singapore and Malaysia and more than 15 years of experience. Every proposal uses net-based pricing.
Frequently asked questions
When should Canadian clients travel to Southeast Asia?
December to February is the classic window: generally dry on the mainland and the season Canadians most want to escape. For travel from April to October, Bali and Java are in their drier months.
Can you handle March break school groups?
Yes. Our educational travel team plans school programmes with fully qualified guides and rigorous health and safety audits. March to May is hot on the mainland, so we pace the days accordingly.
Do you work with Canadian travel agents as well as tour operators?
Yes. We work with tour operators, travel agents and corporate buyers, and we do not sell to travellers directly.
Can you provide French-speaking guides?
Tell us the guiding language you need in your brief. Our itineraries list the guiding language of each programme, and we confirm availability for your departure in the proposal.
